Design And Implementation Of Weifang University Tuition Assistance Systems

In 2008, Weifang University began to adopt"Tiancai University Student Tuition Management System"which was developed by Tianjin Shenzhou Haotian Software Technology Co., Ltd. This system can basically meet the tuition management needs of Weifang University. Nevertheless, with the expansion of the tuition range and the payment methods, together with the construction of campus informationalization, the existing systems can not meet the needs of tuition management. Therefore, on this basis, it is very necessary for the current tuition management to redevelop the existing systems, design the auxiliary system of tuition management to meet the needs of different students'tuition management.The focus of this dissertation is to research on the existing tuition management systems of Weifang University and the present situation of charging the students fees, to make clear what tasks can be solved by the existing system and what cannot. We made further studies on the problems which the system can not solve, and based on the existing system, we completed the design and implementation of the two auxiliary systems about the tuition inquiry and the real-time data transmission between the university and the banks. During the whole development process, we adopted the mature methods and advanced technology, and used the structuring system development methods. In the students tuition auxiliary system, we adopted the B/S system, made the Windows Server 2000 as the operating system, IIS 6.0 as a Web application server, and SQL Server 2005 as the backing database, and we used the development tools such as ASP, ADO development technology and the Dreamweaver MX. Thus we achieved the function of logging and inquiring for different roles, and the needs of different users are met to pay tuition. The module of the real-time data transmission between university and banks was constructed by the C / S to build communications platform; by using the standard Socket communication, and by using TCP/IP protocol communications, and the Winsock based socket provided by VB, we realized the program of the server and the client-side.In the tuition management system, students tuition inquiry system can make different users use the Internet in any place to check the tuition which they have paid and have not; the data transfer between the university and the banks completed the real-time data transmission and the real-time settlement of the tuition, thus reducing the great amount of capital cost of the banks. Meanwhile, the auxiliary management system efficiently compensated the limitations of the Tiancai University Student Tuition Management System, extended the available operating period of the system, thus it brought about new perspectives and thoughts for the further application of the system.
