The Demand&Design Of Arrears Tuition Collection System For University

It is very common for students to owe tuition fees to his/her university.Some universities have been owed tens of thousands of RMB yuan in tuition fees,which seriously affects the operation of universities,and also has a negative impact on students' development.Under the constraints of respecting students' right to education and the purpose of cultivating students,the methods forcing students to pay tuition fees cannot be used.Therefore,it is very hard problem to charge students for arrears.The existing arrears collection mode of universities has many disadvantages such as inefficiency,poor information communication,and single function.The research in this paper includes the following aspects: Firstly,based on the analysis of reasons for students' arrears.This paper give up the traditional way of charging tuition,which is to give the task level by level,and is very slow and inefficient.Under the guidance of education awareness,service awareness,efficiency awareness and information disclosure awareness,this paper proposes a new mode to charge tuition,which is comprehensive,stereoscopic and informative.In this mode,staffs from the finance department,colleges and other departments of the university,as well as family of students who are in arrears,are involved together in the collection of arrears.This mode emphasizes the reachability of arrears information,the education of students' honesty,the explanation of tuition policy,and follow-up of student aid policies.It can provide more services and convenience,and improve the efficiency of arrears collection while obtaining the support of students and their family.Based on the mode,the paper puts forward the demand and design ideas of an arrears collection system.Secondly,follow the software engineering approach,the demand and design are described in UML language.Thirdly,the system is planned to be implemented on the basis of available resources of XX University,using J2 EE,SQL database,WeChat public platform,SMS platform and other technologies.Fourthly,the system architecture,functional modules,database design are also described in the paper.Although the paper takes XX University as a case,considering the similarities between universities,some ideas and solutions can be applied to most other universities in China.The implementation of the system would be of great significance to improving the efficiency of arrears collection work in universities.It is also valuable for cultivating students' sense of integrity,promoting communication between theuniversity and families of their students,avoiding conflicts between the students' family and the university,and better serving students and their family.
