Media ethics which is the basic requirements of morality to the mass media, media institutions, media practitioners and their audience is the values and principles of the main body of the media and the process of the media in information dissemination and exchange activities. In different historical periods and stages of the development of media, it has different media ethics. In modern times, media gradually spread to the mass communication stage, and present has been developed to the trend of media globalization. In the context of mass media, the importance of media ethics is further highlighted. Not only because of the diversity of the media and the complexity of the relationship, making the activities criteria through the medium of media ethics to be even more urgent, but also because, compared with the traditional means of communication, mass communication activities has unprecedented influence on social life and on people's value orientation. The main moral status of media directly determines the spread of content and quality of mass media, and through this it largely influences the choice of people's behavior or even guides the development of social and cultural. In the time of social transition in China, in media globalization and the role of its own law of development, the mass media has rapidly developed, but at the same time, due to incomplete legal system, especially the anomie of media moral, in the areas of mass media it produced a number of problems. These problems not only seriously affect the healthy development of the mass media, but also seriously affect the social morals and socio-cultural reconstruction. For instance, although the mercerization and collectivization of media in some extent have promoted the development of mass media, but also make the media independence and impartiality facing serious challenges, in this way the media is entertainment, and even much about the trend of vulgarization. Although consider media sector as an economic body can activate mobilization of its own initiative, the phenomenon of misconduct such as fake news, false advertising, driven by the instinct of maximize the interests of the mass media field, has been common occurrences. The Internet as the representative of the birth of new media, although reflects the nature freedom of the media and expand the public space of information dissemination. But meanwhile it is bringing up many new ethical issues such as invasion of privacy of people, network violence, and the majority tyranny and so on, all these making the contradiction between freedom and responsibility of mass media to put in an extreme way of the world.In the social transitional period, to ensure the healthy development of mass media, we must correctly handle the problems in mass media, such as the contradictions of the mass media institutions as the main economic and social public institutions, contradictions of self-interest with the interests of the community, as well as the contradiction between media freedom and the social responsibility of media and so on. Thus, the research of media ethics and the construction of media ethics are very urgent and important theoretical and practical tasks in the social transitional period. In this thesis, the analysis of the historical development of media and media ethics as the starting point, it emphasizes on the media ethics issues in the context of globalization and China's social transformation. On the basis of the overall study of Chinese media ethics and its development in the transition, the paper is for the need of solve the realistic problems of media construction, a detailed analysis of ethical issues which have emerged in many areas, and the path to media ethics to provide empirical and theoretical support.Except the introduction the thesis is divided into four parts: the media and media ethics; media globalization and social transformation of media ethics in China; the status of the Chinese media and ethical issues in the transitional period; transition period construction and improvement of media ethics. In the study of the parts has mentioned before, a theme runs through, that is the construction of Chinese media ethics. Using consistent structural analysis, analyzing the dual role of media body's own, the interest of medium body and community, the nature of freedom of media and restraint of social responsibility, and other aspects of structural contradictions, and based on this, to explore ways of solving the problems and solutions.
