With the continuous development of our market economy, modern media industrywhich is supported by computer technology are flourishing now. At present, the mass mediahad spread to every aspects in society, and had significant influence on the value of societymembers, social responsible consciousness, as well as the way of thinking and behaving.The youth group is one of audience of mass media. Continuous diversified development ofmedia transmission way had pushed the youth group’s life and learning style to changeradically, in some extent, had influence on the moral quality of the young people. The youthgroup is the main force of social development in our country, and also is the mainstay ofbuilding socialism. The level of young people’s social responsibility consciousness directlydetermined the ultimate success of the great work of socialism construction. With thedeepening of world economy integration, many international cultures and value whichcarried by media had entered into China. It is the obligation and guiding responsibility forour country’s mass media to cultivate the youth’s social responsibility consciousness.Thispaper will be divided into three parts:Part one, introduction. In this part, the background and significance of the selectedtopic, related literature review, research method and difficulties are systemically discussed.Part two, the explanations about mass media and social responsibility consciousnesseducation. This part firstly introduces the content of mass media, analyzes its features, thenexpounds the basic function of mass media. And, secondly, it explains the main content ofthe youth’s social responsibility consciousness education, at last, for a better follow-upresearch, the relationship between mass media and the youth’s social responsibilityconsciousness education are discussed.Part three, the mass media’s influence on the youth’s social responsibility consciousnesseducation. This part, based on positive and negative factors, analyzes the mass media’sinfluence on the youth’s social responsibility consciousness education, so as to providedirection for latter countermeasure.Part four, the policy about the positive influence of promotion of mass media on theyouth’s social responsibility consciousness education. This part puts forward the policy aboutthe positive influence of promotion of mass media on the youth’s social responsibility consciousness education from the perspectives of mass media, government, school andfamily, so as to help contribute to youth’s social responsibility consciousness education innew times.
