With the scale of marine experiments expanding, the experimental vessels often use GPS and three-dimension compass(TCM) instruments to determine their own position and attitude, processing the received information from the GPS and TCM is particularly important, as part of this paper is to discuss the transmitting information from GPS and TCM, the other part of the article discusses the timing equipment, which can detect the time signal or send the time singal to the other timing equipment, the combination of these two points is part of the data storage, specifically, the position and attitude information from transmitting module with time information from time signal processing module is stored into SD card which is current popular media.FPGA as the core of the design of data processing devices is to complete the task of transmitting, the specific process is to receive multiple channel information from GPS and TCM, and then tranform those data into one channel information, which is transmitted out at the same time. This DSP-core processor is a part of timing equipment, it can detect and receive AC code which is the international fashion timing code of IRIG-B, decode time synchronized within 1 ms. It also can read the time information from internal time source, according to the time information, AC code is sent, which is comply with military standard of time code. Finally, it is stored into SD card by DSP that the information from GPS and TCM with time tags affixed. Thus,the task of data tranmitting and storage is completed.The hardware and software of the system proved to meet the design requirement throngh a large number of experimental tests.the system design is accordance with the indicators of the time information processing, data from GPS and TCM with time information can be successfully achieved by this system.
