Business Intelligence focuses on the data Analysis. It is considered as a collection of concepts, methods, processes, and software to help the companies improves their capacity of decision-making and operation. It uses Data warehouse, On-Line Analytical Processing, Data Mining and other methods to analyze the business data. Business Intelligence resolves the problems when the companies are analyzing their business data which is growing more and more complex, and it is very valuable for social and economic development. It is very important for a company for the process of information management.In this paper, we will introduce the basic theory of business intelligence according to the three main process of it: Creating original database, running ETL to build the data warehouse, data mining from the data warehouse to generate reports and analysis.
