Application Of Business Intelligence In The Analysis Of Power Grid Data

With Vigorous development of ERP system,customer relationship management system,OA system,the enterprise has accumulated a large amount of historical data. Therefore, how to take advantage of these valuable historical data to support business decisions, has become a technology hot spot. The goal of business intelligence (BI) is the use of data mining, data warehousing, online analytical processing technology to extract valuable knowledge from these large number of historical data which provide decision support for the enterprise. These characteristics of business intelligence(BI),which improve the management of Electric Power Enterprise, reduce business risk and improve business productivity, has great practical significance.This thesis focuses on the business intelligence’s application of information systems in the electric power industry. Main tasks:A detailed analysis of customer demand for Electric Power Enterprise, the use of data mining techniques, the theory of a data warehouse, online analytical processing, according to the theme of production, planning to operate subject, financial themes, human resources theme, design the overall system architecture; based on online analytical processing, use Sagent software tools to extract data,clean and transform data, and loader data; Finally, the plan of the system for line loss rate case by case generation corresponding reports, and to report results were verified analysis, according to the results reflect, in a product or service are Suggestions for improvement.This paper presents a complete power business intelligence system project development process, model design principles and design process, and OLAP data model and business rules closely connected with the design and implementation of the scheme. The modeling methods and development scheme has been applied in the electric power enterprise’s business intelligence project practice.
