The Design Of Business Intelligence System And Its Applications In Communication Industry

With the continuous development of internet technologies,computer techniques and information processing technologies,a great many domestic and overseas enterprises bring in Business Intelligence.Business Intelligence is already not a purely concept just for scientific researches and experiments,it has become an important solution and technical means of enterprise informatization.Business Intelligence has caused a business analysis and strategic decision revolution from the electricity industry to financial institutions,and from the communication industries to energy companies.According to analyzing the construction process,analysis and design of the communication industries' Business Intelligence System,this paper studied the applying of Business Intelligence System in the communication industry.The main work of this paper is as follows:1.The brief introduction of Business Intelligence,introducing the basic knowledge which the construction of Business Intelligence System needs,such as Database,Data Modeling,Business Intelligence Data Warehouse,Business Intelligence ETL,Business Intelligence Online OLAP analysis,and the core metadata of the Business Intelligence System,etc..2.Research Significance and status of Business Intelligence System: mainly from the enterprise needs,pointing out the defect of Business Intelligence System at present.And providing possible solutions according to this thesis.3.On the basis of researching the status and shortages of existing Business Intelligence System,Giving analysis and design which can remedy the limitations on the status of Business Intelligence System and expounding the analysis and design of Business Intelligence System.The analysis includes analysis and defining the demand of Business Intelligence project,final goal of project,object domains which Business Intelligence system involves,relationship between each object domains,and building Conceptual Models.The design includes mainly specifying this Business Intelligence System,carrying on the design of the modules combined with the enterprise needs,transferring logical models to physical models.These physical models will serve as the basis of developing the function of this Business Intelligence System.4.Mainly discussing the practical application of Business Intelligence System in the enterprises.It aims to check the role of this Business Intelligence System playing in the enterprise through application examples.Meanwhile,demonstrating the Business Intelligence System referred to in this essay can solve the defects of existing Business Intelligence System.5.According to comparing against Business Intelligence product in domestic and overseas markets,discussing merits and demerits of this Business Intelligence System and prospecting for optimizing of this Business Intelligence System in future.
