This thesis, which is the research result of a key industrial project from Shaoxing Science & Technology Bureau -New integrated dyeing machine control system, introduces some improvement to traditional dyeing machine control method used in a couple of small and medium enterprises today.Shaoxing and Xiaoshan are the center of producing textile, printing and dyeing, where thousands of printing and dyeing enterprises are distributed. According to a survey, the common problems in these enterprises, such as low and unstable product quality, low efficiency and high consumption of production, are mainly due to such low machine control and process manage ability that most of machines are in single computer control, sometimes even manual control, rather than outdated equipments.In order to solve these problems, the author designs a new integrated dyeing machine control system which realizes accurate temperature control, liquor ratio control, integrated control to a couple of machines by PLC technology, so that level of automation of dyeing is enhanced, product quality becomes stable and consumption of energy in dyeing is reduced. This paper introduces design of technology solutions, hardware and software in control system, especially into liquor ration control, frequency control of Khatib roller motor, geometric feeding technology based on PID control, integrated control by MODBUS communicating protocol, automatic weighting system of additives and feeding system.This system has been successfully designed and applied to more than 10 dyeing enterprises including Shaoxing Xinjian Dyeing & Weaving Mill and Shaoxing Mingye Dyeing & Weaving Mill, with meeting every technical specification requirement. The system brings cooperating design company-Shaoxing Huaxin automatic equipment Ltd considerable economical interest and performs well on dyeing automation, enhancing quality and consumption reduction in production of customers.
