Design And Implementation Of Data Acquisition Card Based On Pci Bus

This article takes the designing of data acquisition (DAQ) devices on PCI bus, for example , to analyze the key technology and the difficulty that it refers to , and finally bring forward the solution and carry it out.This paper firstly describes the theory of the PCI bus and how to control the data transfer on PCI bus, emphasizing on both software and hardware designing method of the PCI interface controller. On the hardware side, the kernel of this system is synchronization and control between PCI interface and external data acquisition. After analyzing and comparing, we decide to use the S5933 as the PCI interface controller and CPLD to offer the timing control signal, to carry out the acquisition and bus transfer of external data. The CPLD is programmed in Verilog HDL, one of the hardware description languages.
