With the development of computer technology and modern communication technology, the booming growth of public wealth and complexity of modern society, and the improvement of people's concept, video surveillance technology face a severe challenge for security industry. In recent years, the IP monitoring system has gradually replace the traditional analog monitoring system with low complexity, easy maintenance, good expansibility and low price.The basic requirements of IP surveillance system is a network video surveillance system and easy expansibility, etc. In order to meet the needs of IP surveillance technology, a high-integrated network monitoring system based on SOPC(System On Programmable Chip) has been designed in this paper. In the local area network, realize a set of image acquisition, image processing, Web server, remote control in one high-integrated network monitoring system based on high-capacity FPGA(Field Programmable Gate Array). By optimizing the structure of image data acquisition system, using DMA(Direct Memory Access) frame of image data stored mode, achieve operability of the image data for embedded microprocessor NiosⅡCPU, can real-time read the image data at any position accurately and expand a variety of C-based software algorithms easily. Meanwhile, transplant the versatility of uClinux embedded operating system on the system, develop its corresponding drivers on the hardware, and configure the Web server, together with application based on CGI(Common Gateway Interface), establish remote monitoring system with B/S(Browser/Server) mode, eliminating the need for complex client software design.In testing aspects, the logic circuits can been simulated in QuartusⅡand Modelsim, and take rigorous test in debugging, adopting embedded online logic analyzer SignaltapⅡ, to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the system.Compared with other network monitoring systems, the system proposed adopt one single chip SOPC structure, optimize the front-end image data acquisition fundamentally, overcome the problem that microprocessor can not access and process the cache data in off-chip memory, expand any C-based software algorithms in this structure, has a strong expansibility, is suitable for different surveillance application. The system proposed has also certain reference significance for the study of high-end IP network camera surveillance.
