Multimedia processing technology and the rapid development of network has made the spread of digital products on the Internet more and more common. Copyright has encountered a great challenge at the same time,such as digital media (digital audio, text, images and video). They were copied illegally from the original works and it damaged the original copyright seriously.Therefore, this article aim at studying the heated technology in the industry of digital watermarking.In short,the digital watermarking technology (Digital Watermarking) does not damage the original data through embedding security information in it, and the security information can not be removed easily only by a special watermark extraction algorithm to detect and extract it. Protection of digital watermarking as an effective method of multimedia information security,information security has become a popular focus around the field and aroused more researchers paying great attention on it.In addition,the development of integrated circuit technology has also grown rapidly,FPGA (Field Programmable Gate Array) chip manufacturing technology has exhibited its competitive advantage among the ASICs,it has more integrated intension and more processing power. So that the FPGA is more flexible during circuit designing, but also attracting more attention of clients.In this paper,according to FPGA programmable features, the digital watermark embedding system was designed and realized. For bitmaps, the digital watermarking embedding system is carried out in the DCT domain.Firstly,the digital image was blocked and then the part of DCT frequency coefficients were selected as the embedded domain.For JPEG images,before embedded the watermark it was decoded by the decoder and then the watermark was embedded in the data field.The hardware of the system mainly to complete two-dimensional DCT,IDCT,and JPEG decoding,so that you can use the hardware to implement the complex operations, which greatly enhance the system operation speed.The software of the system mainly to carry out the method of embedding watermark and visit the SD card,so that it can update the algorithm flexibly and shorten the development cycle.In this article,the digital watermarking technology and FPGA technology development status was described and a typical digital watermarking algorithm and its applications was researched.Combined with the existing digital watermarking algorithm and analyzing its drawback and then a new kind of algorithm has proposed based on it in this paper.Compared with the existing algorithms in terms of invisible digital watermarking it has been greatly improved.In the system of hardware architecture,the design on a programmable chip system (SOPC) and development procedures has been introduced,meanwhile,the structure of the system hardware modules'details have been also described.Through the data shows that the structure has a advantage in computing speed compared to traditional software.In the system of software architecture,the digital watermark embedding process and the part of the functions has been introduced.Finally,experimental results demonstrates the feasibility of watermark embedding system to meet the system design requirements.
