Ship Maintenance Management Platform Design And Implementation

With the highly development of Information Technology, Information System is rapidly spreading from one industry to another, every company is eagerly asking for one, and it has become the key point of winning in this hypercompetitive age. For maritime companies, the informatization of ship management is becoming more and more important.Most of maritime companies have tried implementing Ship Management System, but due to various problems, most of systems cannot last to end. The lack of the ability of customization leads to the lack of generality, the system cannot continuously be used after ship sold out. The ultimate solution is to create new standard for Maritime Industry, integrate Ship Management System, and reorganize management processes, thus to build a completed, integrated platform for Ship Management. The information integrates in the system should include Corporation Information, Ship Information, and industry standards (from Maritime Bureau, Classification Society, and national standards). In addition, contains the certificates of Classification Society and Maritime Bureau, to shorten the timeframe used for ship inspection.This thesis introduces a Ship Management Platform which facing all the shipping companies, through the general management of equipment, replacement parts, supplies, maintenances, warehouses, certificates, voyages and repairs; to make the shipping in ocean, offshore and inland more secure, more rational, and finally archive the goal of increasing competitiveness. This system uses B/S architect which is widely used in domestic corporate. Using the specialized servers set up in all major harbor cities, so that it is always available for ship management no matter where you go.In this thesis, firstly describes the significance of Ship Management System for shipping companies, and how to ease the ship management with this system. In the meanwhile, states the functions and goal of the Ship Management Platform, and analyzes the problems of existing domestic and foreign Ship Management System. Base on the background of project development, the thesis also does feasibility study. And, describes the processes and requirement analysis of Maintaining Management Module of Ship Management System. Then give the detailed design of the system, the working processes of Maintaining Management Module, the implementation and result system with detailed database table layouts. In the end, summarizes and discusses the outlook of Ship Management System platform.
