Materials management system based on information technology and network is animportant factor in the success of aviation industry. Material planning and purchasingmanagement have not formed a complete and practical experience yet in china, the existingmaterial management model cannot be fully applicable to the civil aviation manufacturingenterprises. How to improve the materials management level in aircraft manufacture in chinamust be a problem that we further research and solve. A materials integrated managementsystem in aircraft manufacture with network technology and information technology, itcreated favorable conditions to achieve Further material management and improved thematerials management level in aircraft manufacture. It researched the material managementsystem in the whole assembly process that materials appeared when the plane designdepartment began receiving engineering design information, got the material quota in process,made the plan of materials requirement by production plan, made appropriate purchase planby materials requirement and inventory, made purchase orders, tracked the shipment orders,checked and stored materials, distributed to workshop and monitored until the customer gotthe product. This paper researched that it analyzed the characteristics of aircraftmanufacturing, aviation industry status in Shanghai Aircraft Manufacturing Company(SAMC)to meet the needs of the aviation industry materials management. Fist,solving data basemanagement of BOM. It lists the demand of materials management system including theprocurement, design, manufacturing, and other aspects of aircraft industry, and lists the mainfunction and use cases of materials management system use cases. Second, solving thematerial of information integration management with existing information systems by SOAPtechnology, making data exchange between these systems and sharing it, eliminating the roleof "information island". Based on the two points, it put forward the solutions of the materialsintegrated management system in aircraft manufacture and completed the function of thesystem. After the analysis of the system, we confirmed the system's technical characteristics and innovation. It improves the efficiency of materials management, promotes coordinationbetween the material needs of departments, procurement departments and logisticsdepartments and at the same time to ensure the accuracy of the data. It also proposed somesystem deficiencies. On the basis of this research, it further proposed the feasibility ofaviation manufacturing process, material management system to carry out research work inother ways to improve the management level and competitiveness of the aircraft industry.
