In recent years, with the material and cultural living standard of the people continues to improve, security monitoring system based IP has also been an unprecedented development strides. Now, beause of demands of image quality and strong need of Intelligent analysis of image, high definition and Intelligent analysis are the primary goals. In this article, a camera system based IP is designed. The definition is 1080p and it can achieve 30fps.The hardware design is based on Micron's 5 million-pixel CMOS sensor and TI's Davinci chip TMS320DM368. TMS320DM368 is a delicated digital media system-on-chip, using the ARM926EJ-S core running at 432 MHz. It integrates two coprocessors named HDVICP and MJCP which complete the data compression and are capable of achieving HD video processing at 1080p@ 30fps.This article first introduces the background of IP Camera and summarizes the core technologies of the hardware system. It then compares several feasible technical solutions on the base of core needs of High-Definition IP Camera and the development costs and development cycle, at last it chooses ARM+DSP hardware architecture and uses DM368+MT9P031(CMOS) as the hardware platform. This article highlights the hardware module design. It chooses proper chips to complete the module design, considering system requires and costs, and completes the functional test of the hardware modules. The results show that this design is feasible and can meet the design requirements.
