With the development of information technology, the embedded system is widelyused in every aspect of daily life. It has been used in automotive electronics, networkcommunications, aerospace, micro control, consumer electronic production, industrialcontrol, security system and other fields. In particular, It has become irreplaceable spot inthe automotive electronics.Because of the economic development and people's living improve, automobile intomore and more family, accompany environmental issues have become increasinglyprominent. The advantages of zero emissions electronic vehicle make people like it moreand more. As a key part of the car vehicles, battery management system has been attentionby the various national.This paper analyzed the features and development trend of electronic vehicle batterymanagement system, and designed a new embedded battery management system based onARM9. Because of the tradition battery management system influenced by external factorswhen measuring battery pack remaining charge, we establish specific model very hard.This paper adopts neural networks measuring battery pack remaining charge. Neuralnetworks did not need establish complex battery model, but neural networks need greatquantity data for network training and need more time. As the same time, network may befall into local maximum. In order to solve this shortcoming, this paper adopts neuralnetworks which it has been optimization by adaptive genetic algorithm. Trough bysimulation, it confirm adaptive genetic algorithm have good stability and control accuracy.The S3C2410of the Advanced RISC Machine which produced by Samsung is used as thecontroller. This paper makes minimum system design and data acquisition circuit andthermal management circuit. It designs some corresponding software development. Finally,system debugged in the laboratory. It makes system have good stability.
