UWB communication technology is a new technology in the field of wireless communicationsystem. It has more excellent features than the traditional communications. As an important partof wireless communication system, antenna has a tremendous impact with the whole system.With the rapid development of science, the demand of UWB communication is increasing. Asthe key component of communication system, the design of UWB antenna is facing an greatchallenges.Nowadays, the science and technology are highly developed. More and more electronicproducts appeared in our daily life. This makes the electromagnetic environment more complexthan earlier, makes the power spectrum highly density even overlap in the limited spectral, whichgreatly affect the operation of other electronic equipments. Because of the merits of antennaEMC impact the whole communication system directly, the problem of EMC occupies anextremely important position in antenna design, especially in the design process of antenna array.The main goal of this subject is: through the analysis of UWB technology and the EMC ofantenna, designed an UWB antenna which meet the technical requirements. And then design anUWB antenna array on this basis; make this antenna array meet the electromagneticcompatibility requirement. The research results of this paper as follow:First, introduce the base of the UWB technology, UWB antenna theory and EMC; give thecritical parameters and the formulas of UWB antenna; describe the basic ideas of UWB antennaand the analysis environment of antenna EMC.Then, propose a design idea of UWB wide-gap micro-strip antenna, determine the structure,feed method and the input impedance of this antenna. To explain the reasons for the selection ofeach module, discuss the impact of each parameter on the antenna performance; analyze theEMC of the antenna.At last, design the UWB antenna array; analyze the coupling between each antenna elementand the feed network of this antenna array. Use Ansoft HFSS to analyze the EMC of eachantenna element. Ensure the antenna array achieves a higher gain, meets the requirements ofUWB technology and has a good electromagnetic compatibility between each antenna element.
