With the development and application of 5G technology,large-scale active antenna has become one of the research focuses,and the research of antenna element and array is a very important part.Based on the above application background,this thesis studies the 5G base station antenna working at 3.5GHz.The following is the specific research content:(1)A low-profile,small-size microstrip slot dual polarized antenna unit is designed.The two H-shaped slots are on the floor and perpendicular to each other.The method to broaden the lobe width of the antenna is described in detail.A 1×8 plane array and its power division network are further optimized.The center frequency of antenna array is at 3.4-3.6GHz,and the input port VSWR is less than 1.5.The cross polarization ratio is greater than 22dB,and the gain is 14±0.4dB.The horizontal beamwidth is 105~°±3~°,and the vertical beamwidth is 10~°±1~°.At the same time simulation software is used to study characteristics of the 8x8 antenna array.And finally the physical processing test is conducted to evaluate the performance of the antenna.The results show that the antenna can be used in the design of the base station or the micro base station antenna in the next 5G communication.(2)A microstrip polarized dipole antenna is designed.The printed antenna consists of a symmetrical microstrip printed element and a feed balun,which is connects the reflector floor and the antenna,sharing the same ground with the power dividing network.The 1×4 antenna array composed of these elements has a horizontal lobe width of 60±1°and a vertical lobe width of 22±1°at the 3.4 GHz-3.6GHz.Gain of the antenna radiation is 12±0.2 dB and all the maximum polarization cross-polarization are more than 18dB.The results of the antenna processing test show that the designed dual-polarized antenna impedance bandwidth is suitable for the next generation antenna needs,which has the characteristics of small size,easy integration,low cost and so on.
