With the wide development of radio application, the electromagnetic space has been becoming more and more narrow and complex, which has caused a lot of problems to electromagnetic frequency monitoring and management. Since traditional technology has limited ability to solve these problems, thus it is necessary to take measures to solve these problems. It will be a new application to use wireless sensor network, which is an advanced technology for information capturing and processing, to monitor and manage the electromagnetic frequency. As for this application, this thesis proposes a design plan for wireless sensor node and its development tool, and also introduces how to design them.This thesis firstly analyzes and compares the foreign and domestic research status, and according to the require of the project, proposes a wireless sensor node design plan that is based on "one chip" mode. The "one chip" mode is to select CC2510, which combines radio function and microcontroller function together, as main chip for wireless sensor node, and provides UART-to-USB circuit based on CP2102 to wireless sensor node. This thesis introduces the design process on two aspects that are software and hardware aspects in details. On hardware aspect, the thesis introuces the chips'peripheral circuits, and puts empahsis on introducing the RF circuit design method. On software aspect, given that CC2510 has the carrier sense function, the thesis proposes programme design method for star-shaped nework constructure. And this thesis also develops the application of measuring temperature based on the SoC temperature sensor.Moreover, this paper proposes a design plan for development tool based on C8051f320, considering the factors of the function, universality, cost and processing capacity and so on. Meanwhile, this thesis provides UART-to-USB circuit based on CP2102 to the development tool for debugging and communicating with PC.Finally, this thesis tests the design node performace. This thesis selects four scenes as test locations to test node's maximum commnication distance, communication rate and ability of measuring temperature. The test results show that the node's communication distance and communication rate is the same with the data provided by TI corporation; in woods scene, the temperature error, that is 1.9℃, is the largest, and the reason may be that the water vapor has largely influenced the performance of the temperature sensor. And in other scenes, the error is smaller.
