The carbonization furnaces controlled by electrical instruments nowadays play a very important role in most factories. The traditional monitoring system of carbonization furnace is depended on manual control and reporting, which can not meet the needs of the high-speedy developing of the modern industrial controlling technology. It's necessary to develop a new kind of temperature monitoring system in order to meet the purpose of improving the automation and controlling of the product equipment.This project uses temperature sensors to collect the real-time data, which is then transported to temperature recorder and controller by a route of RS 485; through the Ethernet server it is thus transported to PC with Ethernet wire. Industrial Ethernet has the character of low cost, high efficiency and high intelligence which makes it more controllable and easy to maintain.The software of Force Control is chosen to display the human interface of main functions of monitoring. Force Control is excellent configuration software which has plenty of function modules and supports multiple communication protocols.The temperature recorder is used to collect and record the data which can be transported to PC through the Ethernet server with the communication protocols of MODBUS; the controlling function is realized by the use of OPC.At last, corresponding solution is provided in order to solve the problem of sensor fault. RBF neural network is chosen to solve this problem. By comparing the difference between the forecasting output of RBF neural network and real output of sensor this problem can be solved.The temperature monitoring system has been delivered to the factory and proved to meet the requirement of factory after a long period of use.
