It is misunderstood for a long time that logistic enterprise equals to traditional transportation. Various sizable enterprises underestimate management of logistic and ignored its impact on enhancement of competition strength, and opine logistic is only relevant to transportation of cargo. With passage of time, a growing number of enterprises have begun to realize the importance of management of logistics, especially to those traditional transportation enterprises. An efficient management monitor system of logistic may bring marvelous changes to enterprise, not only reducing unnecessary and incorrect dispatch of conveyances, but also enhance service quality itself, which contributes to enhancement of competition strength on basis of making good use of resources. This dissertation starts with a true case, trying to find out a practicable and wide-recognized solution to system application, by analyzing typical management monitor system of logistic and by digging out what customer needs. Last but not least, this dissertation provides some cases combined with both GPS/GIS/GSM and Internet Technology. The dissertation includes the following topics:1. Analyzing the current stage of logistic information monitoring system then finish the requirement gathering and analysis which is based on the GPS/GIS/GSM technology. Concentrate on the unique industry features, listing all the existing problems that are found during locating services, assets management, history tracking and dynamic reports, which are based on the real time GPS information. This dissertation also compares the existing solutions, provided by software vendors within and without the country; tries to find out a working solution for the global users.2. Finishing the system level design. I used standard relational database to process the daily transactions while using ArcGIS suit and DB2 SpatiaExtender to process GPS data. The System use J2EE platforms and B/S module, by using EXTJS technology, users may have the advantage of B/S module as well as the rich client UI experience. Web applications deploy on Websphere XD servers and core Java module deploy on AIX server.3. The research is based on the object oriented design and development and RUP model. During the development stage, I create the reusable component JDFW. System uses UML tool to design the application as well as the physical model. 4. Develop LOCOYD, GPSL, and GPSLH to validate the system data. These mainframe programs can also be used in the future maintenance.In a nutshell, this dissertation use GSP/GIS/GSM, GSP and IT technology, design and realize an information monitor system based upon typical client's need, which is a reference to similar application in this industry.
