Based on the present situation of farmland information collection that the collection speed is slow and farmland information cannot be automatically managed, and through the study of wireless sensor networks and usage of J2EE technology, this paper developed a cross-platform and reusable farmland environmental information monitoring system based on WSN. This system has environmental information collecting function, monitoring information management function, natural environment information management function, crops social and economic information management function, crop production information management function, model management function and so on. And it can be used in practical reliable and visual monitoring and management. Compared with the traditional acquisition methods, this system has the feature of automatic collection and data management. And compared with other monitoring software, this system has closer relationship with monitoring objects, full functions and could help on decision making.This paper firstly describes the composition of the monitoring system, which includes data collection terminal, data transmission, as well as the monitoring software. And then, this paper discusses about the developing technology, basic framework and functional modules of monitoring software; and also the conceptual design and logical design of system database. At last, this paper describes the implementation process of system functions, which includes the usage of SSH framework in the system, fertilization model, water-saving irrigation model, output model, system communication process, system monitoring alarm and so on.According to the research, this paper solves the problems of WSN based environmental information monitoring system, improves the data acquisition and data management efficiency, and enriches the means of farmland information collection.The main innovative point of this dissertation is the usage of JAVA based on WSN, to achieve a nondestructive, fast and automatic acquisition and processing system of farm environmental information.
