Information communication plays an important part in our daily life and social activities. And it is a valid symbol in human society. The effects of information communication will directly affect activities for understanding and changing the world. Obviously, with the development of promoting social informationization and building information civilization, the process of information communication can be showed diversely. So information communication and the mode of IC are contributed to a new development. However, in the traditional mode of IC, it may be neglect the effects of social environment or era background. It should be analyze deeply so that this paper systematically summarizes the process of information communication.Therefore, the topic of this paper researched is the mode of information communication in information-knowledge era background. It deeply analyzed the theories of information communication, the traditional mode of information communication and characteristic or features of the new background. This paper is mainly divided into three parts. Firstly, this paper analyzes the elements of information communication on the basis of the general mode of IC. And secondly, it goes on understanding the era characteristic and new changes and requirements in information-knowledge society by analyzing the elements. And it also analyzed the foundation of the structure of information communication. Finally, it tries to summarize the IC mode in the historical condition of information-knowledge society. Also a macro presentation or summary of IC mode in the whole human society is included. The paper concludes by pointing out practical significant and guidance for IC activities. Thereby, it could be provided the basic rules and theories for information science.
