From July 1936 when Edgar Snow visited Bao'an to July 1946 when Anna Louise Strong visited Yan'an, people of Europe and the Americas set off the climax of visiting the Communist-ruled region twice in ten years. After Edgar Snow visited Bao'an, Agnes Smedley, Earl Leaf, Nym Wales, James Bertram and others paid a visit to Yan'an at serial, which set off the first high tide of visiting "Red China"by people of Europe and the Americas;and the second was the visiting of the sightseeing party of both Chinese and foreign journalists in Northwest and the United States Army Observer Group. The reason why people of Europe and the Americas visited "Red China"is that they liked to search for the unknown world disappointing at KMT-governed regions but yearning for the red base, etc. Without the effort of the Communist Party of China, people of Europe and the Americas couldn't have visited "Red China"succesfully. In this paper, through perspectiving the report of Chinese leaders, the red base and the life of "Red China"by people of Europe and the Americas,we study "Red China" from the perspective of westerners. After visiting "Red China", people of Europe and the Americas all well approved of "Red China".Getting out of the description by people of Europe and the Americas, we delve into the propaganda skills by CPC from indirect sources. After study, the writer find out that CPC showed an open and tolerant image to the visitors, propagated and praised highly the idea of democracy and freedom and the gesture of being on intimate terms with western coutries, which made western visitors favourably incline towards them, then trumpet "Red China".
