Public supervision is a way which relys on public opinion to restrict government power, and it is a fundamental right for political citizens. It is the government's responsibility to protect the right of supervision by the masses and to prevent the abuse of public power. But due to various objective and subjective reasons, there is a relatively slow development of public supervision in China; people and the news media are difficult to implement oversight. It is because the effectiveness of public supervision has not been fully exploited, then corruption and other abuses have occurred from time to time. Therefore, how to take measures to protect the people and the news media oversight and to achieve constraints on the abuse of power have become the focus of society. This article aims to explore the constraint reasons for development of public supervision and propose some strategies to provide essential references for the development of some strategies. |
