Design And Implementation Of Configuration Management For Gateway Based On TR-069 Protocol

With the wide application of Internet technology, the rapid popularity of home networking, DSL gradually developed into the mainstream of broadband access technologies. More network terminal equipments such as home gateways are deployed to the network. It need more efficient management for the equipments because of their complexity and the diversity of business. The traditional simple network management protocol SNMP has become obsolete. Therefore the TR-069 protocol that Broadband Forum developed came into being.TR-069 protocol is a network management protocol designed for remote terminal management,which provides common framework, message specification, management methods and data model for configurating and manageing the home network device. Currently, TR-069 protocol is appling in practice, but many implementation technologies are not yet mature. So the study of the realization of this protocol has important realistic significance.This paper analyzes the framework, communication norms, implementation mechanism of TR-069 protocol in detail, illustrates the advantage in centralized managing remote network terminal equipments.This thesis discusses the design ideas.implementation principle of TR-069 protocol on the gateway.Designs and realizes the CWMP module which corresponds to TR-069 protocol stack, including the processing of HTTP packet, SOAP messages and RPC methods.There is a discussion in-depth for the problem that data model defined for the gateway (TR-098) does not match the implementation model.This article designs a solution to this problem-the matching strategy of the data model.Through inserting a adaptation layer between the configuration management layer and the application layer in the gateway.The tree data model of TR-098 protocol may match the the original model of the gateway,and establish the mapping relationship between them, so transforms configuration parameters from the user's perspective into the device parameters from the programmer point of view better.This paper describes the storage design and dynamic maintenance of TR-098 in the system, elaborates how to traversal, add, delete a multi-instance node and how to implement a leaf node in adaptation layer.Finally, the paper certify the implementations of TR-069 protocol and feasibility of adaptation layer in the experiment.
