In recent years, remote education based on computer network technology has been rapidlydeveloped. Certainly, it is an inevitable trend in China’s future education. Among them, the remoteexperiment teaching is an important part of network remote education. It is not only an importantmeans to strengthen the theoretical teaching, but also a main way to strengthen the theoreticalknowledge and to improve skills for students. Therefore, remote experiment, which consists ofinformation, network and control technology, has been widely used. For restrictions within theuniversity laboratory resources and the constantly growing experimental needs, we need urgentlydevelop a network remote experimental platform. Users could remotely control equipment of thelaboratory under the multi-level access through Internet, and we will break through the limitationsof experimental time and space. Finally, we would effectively improve the utilization of laboratoryequipment. At the same time, it could help us to solve a series of problems existing in the currentstudent experiments, and to better adapt to the mode of the modern university education.The research group has built a network remote experimental platform based on B/S modethrough using network technology, ASP.NET and currently available hardware devices oflaboratory. In the early stage, we have completed the deployment of equipment and the structureof network topology, and we have realized the basic function of remote access of the hardwaredevices and management of the system, including experiment reservation management subsystem,experimental traffic statistics subsystem and network device control subsystem. On this basis, wedo the in-depth study of the mechanisms of information management and device control, anddevelop three functional modules of the remote experiment: user information managementsubsystem, facility management subsystem and online notices release subsystem. Among them,user information management subsystem achieves the function that user registration information isimported in bulk by the administrator in some law. In this way, we could avoid a lot ofinformation import work and save time and reduce workload for the administrator. At the sametime, we have implemented function of the paging display of information, information inquiry,report export and breakpoint resume in order that it is convenient for the administrator tosupervise information of the user. Facility management subsystem achieves students to do fault detection before experiment, and fault information is automatically fed back to the labadministrator by email. Thus the system administrator could timely find fault of the equipmentand provide a certain basis for the equipment troubleshooting. Finally, the teacher could ensurethat the student experiments would be on track. On the side, we have also designed the function ofthe experiment report upload, the experimental instruction download and search engine, whichprovides certain technical help for the students in the experiment. Online notices releasesubsystem could help the administrator timely online publish the information tips that the labhardware device has some failure and is troubleshooting so that we could inform users of beingunable to do the experiment timely. In the end, we could avoid the condition to happen that theadministrator fails to give students the notice in time to cause students absences of the experiment.The research and design of above contents will be given detailed description in the fourth tothe sixth chapter in this article. In the end, the article summarizes the whole development work,and gives the future outlook of further research.
