Research On Content Asset Management System Planning Of Shandong Science And Technology Newspaper

With the advent of the information age, new media represented by the internet, mobile phone newspaper etc. rises rapidly. It breaks the medium barrier of the traditional media, and makes the traditional newspaper face the unprecedented challenge. However, opportunities and challenges are existing together. The domestic press has begun to develop the new media positively, and choose the way to digitized transformation. How to make use of information technology to transform traditional newspapering's production process, and to release the contents resources several times after each creation are the important subjects of every media.This thesis takes Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper as research object. Combining with professional newspapers and the own characteristics of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper, this thesis analyses and discusses the newspapering digitized transformation. It aims at exploring a set of examples used for reference on developing the digital newspapering applied to the small and medium-sized professional newspapers. On the basis of the analysis and research, it proposes to build Content Asset Management System and makes the overall planning.This thesis consists of seven parts. Chapter One is the introduction. It introduces the research background, objective and signification. It also introduces the practice of newspapering informatization in China, and points out the main innovations of this thesis. Chapter Two is the summary of relevant concepts and theories. It introduces the newspapering informatization related concepts and theories of ISP, BPR. Chapter Three is the analysis of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper informatization construction status. SWOT analysis method is adopted to analyse strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats carefully of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper and the status of informatization construction, and the problems to be studied in this thesis are proposed. Chapter Four is the requirements analysis of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper Content Asset Management System. It proposes the goal of system construction, and analyzes business process and requirements of system functions and performance. Chapter Five is the planning of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper Content Asset Management System. It proposes the overall system architecture design and designs 8 subsystems respectively: Articles Gathering and Editing System, Image Management System, Website Management System, Digital Press System, Content Management Database System, Enterprise Information Portal, Performance Assessment Management System, Decision Support System. Chapter Six is the suggestion for the construction of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper Content Asset Management System. It proposes system implementation steps, key success factors and suggestions. Chapter Seven is the conclusion. It sums up the main work of this thesis, and analyzes the shortages of this thesis and future research directions.The innovation of this paper includes three points.Firstly, it proposes the necessity of developing digital newspapering strategy for Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper on the basis of analyzing the current newspapering environment and transiting from the newspaper manufacturer to the content provider, and presents that Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper being different from newspaper groups and it needs to explore a digitized transformation way for the small and medium-sized professional newspapering.Secondly, it analyzes the business process with BPR theory combining with the status of Shandong Science and Technology Newspaper, and proposes optimization solutions of the business process.Thirdly, it proposes a set of examples used for reference of Content Asset Management System applied to the small and medium-sized professional newspapers with ISP theory, which has great realistic significance and guidance.
