Chemical pharmaceutical industry has the characteristics of complicated production process, changeable object properties, many intermittent or semicontinuous processes included, strong corrosive medium, flammable and explosive, contaminating etc. The process monitoring and control may have more influencing factors and a wide range.To achieve the objective of high-quality, high-yield, energy saving and safety, reliable and effective methods must be adopted to monitor and control the production process, which has given rise to urgent demand for implementing automatic control technique. The development of modern science and technology will promote the rapid development of the process control technique in chemical pharmaceutical industry.Many new types of self-control methods have emerged as the development of automatic instrument, modern control theory and artificial intelligence theory. While setting Drug's specification in the pharmaceutical, many factors must be considered, and first of all is the medical requirements, and then the technical and economic rationality. Therefore, the production techniques, including process parameter monitoring and control, as well as intermediate and final product test, must be continuously improved to raise the quality standard of the drugs.Currently, many domestic pharmaceutical companies are exploring in the automation of the whole process for both APIs and finished dosage products. Numerous advanced equipments were introduced into our pharmaceutical industry from the overseas market, and the home-made single-unit equipments have also made considerable improvable in the quality and automation level, however, most of the automation in our pharmaceutical production field are seperated, rather than the whole-line automation. Most of the product quality analysis and control are also off-line or even manual, furthermore, most of the equipments for finished dosage products production have not the complete network communication function, and no appropriate on-line quality monitoring methods. Actually, the automation in the pharmaceutical industry should be extended to the whole pharmaceutical processing. In addition, the pharmaceutical production is such manufacturing process with unitization, batch and interval mode, and the concerned in-process-control is a typical batch control mode with the tight coupling of analog-sequential control and switching value-logic control Compared with the overseas standards, the relevant provisions to automatation system in our current GMP standard are still very weak. We also issued some concerned pharmaceutical industry standards and guidelines, including the GMP standard, which also played an important role for guiding and pushing the GMP upgrade in our country, but compared with the foreign relevant standards, especially the GAMP of USA, we can find that it's still very weak for the automation instruments and the design of automation system in our GMP standards. The design concept is required for the automation system design, and the design purpose must be very clear. No matter it's automation design or reconstruction, the final purpose should be established in the obvious effect to the economic benefit, technical improvement and safety production, but not just for automation. To achieve the purpose, the automation development in the pharmaceutical industry must breakthrough the test issue for some critical parameters during the production; improve the control scheme for some controlled unit; establish reasonably a network information platform, conduct well the foundation work for each step, and make it reality for the automation of our pharmaceutical industry.The main content of this thesis is as follows:focusing on the key control point of the Aminopyrine production process, equip the system with different types of automatic instruments, adopt automatic control technique to do online analysis of the temperature, pressure, flow, liquid level, PH, oxygen content etc., and then to realize the automatic monitoring and centralized control, and further to realize safety production, environment protection, energy saving and higher quality of product.
