With the development of the wireless communication and digital video encoding technology, wireless multimedia communication services have become the new demands of wireless communication business,such as wireless LAN,household wireless video monitoring gateways,etc.The embedded video transmission technology has been widely used in security, transportation and other industries.This paper proposes an embedded wireless video transmission system based on the dual-core processor TMS320DM365 according to the actual requirement.The system can support video capturing,hardware H.264 encoding compression and wired LAN or wireless LAN(WIFI) transmission for the real-time video of standard definition (D1) or HD (720P).Meanwhile it can detect the movement of objects within the scope of and support video recording.The remote users can view the real-time video scenes captured by the front-end and set the system parameters through a browser.The users can also set the system parameters and playback the recorded video files locally with the help of infrared remote controller.This paper has mainly completed the following works:1,Propose a scheme for wireless video transmission system's hardware design based on DaVinci multimedia processor TMS320DM365 from TI company after analyzing and comparing the current embedded network video transmission systems commonly used.2,Complete the hardware schematic design for the system, and implement detailed analysis and description for principle of video capturing module,core processing module,power supply,and peripheral interface module.3,Introduce the system's embedded Linux software development process and the configuration, compiling process for the source file. Finally this paper has built up the embedded software development platform based on UBL,Uboot bootloader, MontaVista Linux operating system, Cramfs file system.4,Analyze the DaVinci's I2C bus controller driver in the embedded Linux platform. And on this basis, complete the I2C device driver development of the front-end video processing chips TVP5146 and TVP7002 .Meanwhile the video capturing implementation process based on DaVinci Multimedia Applications Interface (DMAI) is introduced.Finally port the usb wireless lan adapter RT73's driver and the wirless lan adapter's configuration manager program to the embedded Linux operating system.5,Elaborate the key technologies of the system's streaming media server LiveMedia and video stream's AVI format file package based on FFMPEG .6,Download the file image to the system, complete the function test work for the system and sum up the works done by this paper, and propose suggestions how to refine and improve the system.
