The video monitoring system is an integrated system of digital video system, wireless communication technology and computer technology to combine the three. Now the development of video monitor system is more and more quickly, and its application is more and more widely, the digital control system, the network is more and more to be used in intelligent home security Home Furnishing. The embedded video monitoring system will be more and more attentionby its small size, characteristics of flexible.Now the mainstream of video surveillance system consists of three parts, operating system and applicationsoftware system includes hardware support system, embedded system, embedded processor; it is the work of the independent module combination of hardware and software. The application of embedded system and video surveillance is the future of video surveillance is a very important development direction, and wireless transmission will bring a lot of convenience to the practical application.In this paper, starting from the background significance of thesis research, by studying the present situation and developing trend of video surveillance technology, the research background of video monitoring research, and then through the analysis of the related technical understanding of technical implementation feasibility; Then through the demand analysis and design on overall analysis of the system design; The last part implementation and testing, complete the whole system.This system uses the S3C2440 development board, open source Linux as the embedded operating system, and then designs the hardware and software design of wireless transmission with short distance. The video signal of the system through the hardware equipment acquisition required, and then through the USB port transmission to have developed ARM board is good, real time display on the ARM panel and returns the PC terminal, PC terminal observation and monitoring. This paper introduces the development of V4 l and Socket programming, and embedded BootLoader transplantation, Linux kernel transplantation and cutting, and the use of wireless network card. The finalrealization of the embedded system wireless video monitoring function based on S3C2440 development board.
