With the increasing of the network bandwidth and the development of video processing technique, intelligent video analysis system has been widely used in many fields, such as intelligent transportation, safe citys, safe schools, and so on. This paper proposes an audio and video transmission and intelligent video analysis system according to the actual requirement, including embedded system Front-End based on TMS320DM365, gathering server and client. This system can be used in intelligent transportation field.Based on the actual needs of project, overall system design solution is given. The main work of this paper can be divided into four parts, including system Front-End, gathering server, intelligent analysis subsystem and client.Firstly, the paper expounds the implementation of application after analyzing the advantage of TMS320DM365 processor and multimedia software development process based on TMS320DM365. In this section, the paper is focused on the realization of the RTSP server. Secondly, overall design of gathering server is given. In this section, the paper expounds detailed implementation of forward module and backstage management module. In the forward module, the implementation of receive and forward functions is given. In the backstage management module, the management of embedded system Front-End and client is introduced.Third, with the actual needs of intelligent transportation field, overall intelligent analysis subsystem design solution is given. In this section, the paper describes background extraction algorithm and target detection algorithm. Meanwhile, with the idea of the segmentation of tracking process, the implementation of target tracking and vehicle counting algorithm based on Kalman filter and MeanShift algorithm is given.Fourth, design patterns are used on client software. In this section, the paper expounds detailed implementation of receive module and decode module. In the overall design section, bridge pattern is used on the communication of receive module and decode module. In the receive module, the paper realizes receiving and processing stream of audio and video. In the decode module, the paper realizes decoding stream of audio and video as audio and video synchronization solution is given.Finally, the system's performance is tested. The result shows that the system has good real-time performance and reliability.
