In recent years, with significantly improved audio and video processing technology andbroadband technology, relying on real-time streaming data transmission technology networksbecome hot topic nowadays. This technology is widely used in the webcast, video conferencing,security monitoring and other fields, with the booming trend. The current audio and videosurveillance system often has no clear image and image detail is difficult to identify. This thesisdesigns and implements a high definition video transmission and remote control system based onTMS320DM8168, according to the actual requirement. This system completes HD video and audiocapturing, encoding and transmission and accepts client’s remote control.Firstly, the thesis analyzes the realistic background research on the subject and application value,explains the functional requirements of the system. After studying and comparing DaVincitechnology products, this thesis selects the TMS320DM8168embedded development platform as avideo server system midrange hardware platform. And on this basis, the thesis designs an overallprogram of the system.Secondly, the thesis realizes the streaming media transmission module of the server. The moduleis developed based on an open source live555and uses unicast and multicast mode for networktransmission. This thesis completes the platform to build server-side RTSP. Data acquisitionsub-module acquires video and audio data from share memory. RTP packet sub-module packagesthe data into RTP packets and sends them to network.Thirdly, the thesis realizes the remote control module based on Web server. This module buildsBoa server and receives system settings modification requests from clients. This module buildsHTTP request processing sub-module to analyze and solve the HTTP requests. System controlsub-module in ths module completes parameter modification.Fourthly, the thesis realizes the streaming media client based on RTSP. It completes theinteraction with streaming media transmission module of server, receives RTP streams, decodes andplayback the audio and video. This thesis designs receiving buffer and audio and videosynchronization scheme to slow down the jitter and asynchronism caused by network delay. Inaddition, MP4package module encapsulates real-time audio and video data into MP4files.Finally, the system’s performance is tested. The test results show that the system can achievehigh-definition video and audio transmission, users can remotely control the server from webpage and receive and playback video and audio data via streaming media client. The system has a goodreal-time performance and synchronization, and picture’s fluency and resolution is better, whichbasically reaches expections and has a good practical value.
