In recent years, our country steel industry is developing from steel big country to steel power country in which product structure has changed, and China Metallurgical Automation has made considerable progress, but compared with international advanced automation technology, there is a wide gap. The development of steel industry not only has supplied opportunities, but also raised new issues for China Metallurgical Automation. Therefore, based on digestion and absorption of foreign advanced production line,developing our own intellectual property production lines is the trend line. For breaking the monopoly of foreign enterprises,saving huge foreign exchange,developing core technology innovation,enhancing the international competitiveness of products and energy saving, there is of great practical significance.At the production line of cold rolling, the task of cross-cutting production line is aimed from Strip after formation to Steel plate with the special length, then straightened and oiled, Stacked plates a certain quality stack. This paper is based on Tonghua Iron and Steel Group Siping Iron and Steel Co., Ltd, and introduces the line of the production process and technical indicators. According to the manufacturer requirements, a civil advanced Cross-cut steel plate production line whose accuracy is less than or equal 0.3mm is designed. The control system uses advanced Siemens S7-400, S7-300 series modules which acquire field information and monitor field devices; With the movement system's implementation components, with the human machine interface of computer, control system compoents are formed a network of advanced motion control system with Profibus-DP bus which is easy for the operator to operate and for electrical engineers to maintain. In this paper, cross cutting control system hardware and software program is described in detail.The length of the feeding part is the key part of line, and the quality of the implementation of motor performance is related to speed and accuracy of the entire production line. This system uses closed loop servo control system, and motor uses fast response, high control precision permant magnet synchronous motor in place of DC motor. This paper presents structure and principle of permanent magnet synchronous motor, discuss mathematical model of permanent magnet synchronous motor, and analyzes simulation based on current hysteresis of Vector Control. Simulation results proves that this system has fast response and anti-jamming performance.The length of the steel is the key control parameter in the cutting process. Because the system of automatic position control is affected by uneven plate thickness, plates of different materials and oily surface, it's difficult to find out an appropriate math model; and the traditional control methods are difficult to achieve ideal control effect, so the advanced intelligent control algorithm-fuzzy Control Strategy is used. By laboratory simulation and a large number of field debugging, this strategy can locate accurately. The length of the steel plate meets the requirements and the field is much higher. At the end of this paper, the process of system debugging is elaborated; Based on the thinking of theory with practice, problems in the process of field debugging are solved.So far, the conrol system has been running well for one year which improve production efficiency and achieve the requirements of the factory at the low failure rate, and it has created great economic and social benefit, so it is assessed well by user.
