With the persistent and rapid growth of China’s economy and the booming of the second industry, the demand of the steel shearing for the market is growing, and in some industries, such as the steel plate shear of transformer in power industry and the current rapid development of aircraft carrier’s steel plate cutting, the quality of steel plate, cutting accuracy and the level of control need more stricter. There are usual problems in most of the domestic small and medium-sized processing enterprises, the most situations are the aging of equipment and low in accuracy, efficiency and the automation level. The equipments in abroad are better but too expensive for most enterprises to introduce. So the upgrading for original equipment and technological innovation are more available to the current market.In the paper, the shear control system chooses Delta series Programmable Logic Controller as the main control unit, which uses the method of three-speed deceleration to feed, and it connect with the servo driver and servo motor, and takes advantage of inherent torque characteristics of the motor to realize accuracy positioning; In fact, because of the changes of load, system inertia and strong coupling problem, control parameters of the cutting production line often need to adjust. In order to increase the system’s resilience, avoid the overshoot of the system and increase the system speed range, superior performance of the fuzzy adaptive Proportion Integration Differentiation algorithm is applied to the controller of the system, it can continuously modify the PID parameters in real-time to ensure the system could obtain the best control effect. The simulation results show that the system can meet the requirement of high shear speed and high control precision under the condition of the automatic control of the silicon steel sheet.In the paper, the design of the shear control system, combined the PLC technology with the touch screen human-machine interface, through the PLC control structures complete all action to realize the shear system automatic control. In addition, because its core control algorithm can be used in other kinds of steel plate processing production field, the shear control system has broad application prospects.
