Zhejiang College of Sports has been improving its information management platform since its establishment in 2005.To better meet the organization's assessment of vocational training by the Institute for the Education Department of Zhejiang Province, a lot of new requests have been put forward.According to the particular situation of our college, students' attendance management is the main focus of cultural education supervision for athletes.Therefore, through developing the student performance management system with the characteristic of our college, making the information management work efficiently, systematically and normatively, it will take great convenience to both the department managers and teachers and students.The student performance management system designed and implemented in this paper is based on the characteristic of the Zhejiang College of Sports. It can provide the digital management, such as attendance management, results entry and filing and on-line teaching evaluation. The interface of this web-based system is more simple and user-friendly. It uses Dreamweaver CS3 and ASP to edit the web page and program, selects the B/S (Browser/Server) platform, makes the Windows Server 2000/2003 as the network operating system, and Microsoft SQL Server 2000 as the backstage database which can provide data sharing, make data storage reliable and safe. The database system with backup and restore functions can store the students' data completely and correctly for long-term, can meet the needs of our college to manage the student attendance and performance. With this system, the efficiency of student achievement management can be improved, the workload of college teaching departments can be reduced, and the work procedures can be simplified, and the student attendance and performance can be managed more systematically and more normatively.
