The status of audience in the market of journalism and communication is increasing gradually and take up the main position, with the pace of the society and development of journalism and mass communication. The diversification and significance of audience appeal are obvious increasingly. It is an important prerequisite for getting the desired effect in the process of journalism and communication, also a key indicator for improving the credibility of media and guiding public opinion to satisfy audience appeal. As the needs of human survival and development, disaster news has always been emphasizing because of own unique value. The audience appeal for disaster news which means audience demand for media and contents in the process of journalism and communication is mainly concerned with appeal for affair information, modal information, profoundness information and aesthetic experience. TV medium can develop their own advantage, show true picture of affair, the atmosphere of the environment and facial expressions in the disaster news even explode and meet audience appeal.The paper mainly adopts method of case analysis. Firstly, as a national TV station, CCTV respond to public by information transmission accurately, inspire audience by individual narration emotionally, afford passage for their emotional satisfaction, resolve doubts by expert analysis, lead discussion by conversion, mobilize the masses by a great appeal, organize the public to confront disaster together. It is composed of impressiveness, influence, persuasion and attraction, which is used for good reference for improving the report of disaster news to meet the needs of audience. Combine the present reality of disaster news report, it mainly support the report's capabilities for crisis, enhance the adjustment emergency mechanism of media, put humanization into effect to improve the report of disaster news to meet the needs of audience.
