With the development of the sensor technology and wireless communication technology,the technology of wireless sensor network is going to become more frontier research fidled. It use all kinds of integrated micro-sensors to implement monitoring, study object, and collected data on the wireless way out. It was widely used by the information sent military defense, agricultural and industrial control, biological and medical treatment, environment detects, emergency rescue and disaster relief, dangerous area remote control fields of application.ZigBee is a safe, low-power short-range wireless group network communication technology, and the core is the multi-channel communication devices and micro controllers. It is generally used as inexpensive microprocessor 8.The wireless RF transceiver module is integrated on a single chip to connected to several peripheral devices such as RC and crystal.It is connected to some of the A/D, D/A, I/O interface and control circuit, which can form the various functions of the node, the core of the wireless sensor network node control module. The significant features of the ZigBee is a low rate, low power, low cost, securityand flexible network topology. In the work mode, because of the low transmission rate, transmission of the data by ZigBee technology, is very small, so the signal transceiver time is short,and it has low energy consumption. In non-work mode, ZigBee is in sleep mode, making it very energy saving. ZigBee uses the media access control layer CSMA / CA access method, as well as fixed-bandwidth communication services need to set aside dedicated time slot to send data to avoid competition and conflict. MAC layer support the recognition of the data transfer mode, requires that each data packet sent by the receiver must wait for confirmation, if there are problems in transmission can be re-issued in order to establish reliable data communication mode.This paper firstly introduces the background, research meaning,and content. I t described in detail the historical development of wireless sensor networks, topology and its application, and emphatically introduces Zigbee communication protocol characteristics and protocol architecture.Secondly, according to application requirements, it was designed for simple and practical requirements of the ZigBee protocol. Sensor nodes distributed temperature monitoring system and the central node were Realized by cc2430. Discussed the structure and process nodesoftware program.Finally,the reliability and validity of sensor network design is verified through data transmission and gathering of the experiment.
