The Tedium Presentation On The Topic Of Rural Migrant Workers

Rural migrant workers are a special group, which come into being and develop constantly with the process of industrialization, urbanization, the reform and opening up in our country. Nowadays, rural migrant workers have penetrated into every aspect of the city life, and they are becoming an integral part of the power to promote the economic development of the city. However, under the conditions of Chinese special institutional arrangements and policy design, they have become a group marginalized by the society and can't get the status civitatis. What's worse, under the influence of widespread social discrimination conception, rural migrant workers are at a disadvantage in respect of the interest protection, "several opinions of the state council about solving the problems of rural migrant workers"(passed by the standing committee of state council on Januaryl8,2006.) pointed out that protecting rural migrant workers'rights and interests is a crucial problem needs to be solved, which triggered the attentions from all social walks of life to the problems of rural migrant workers again.This paper aims to explore the characteristics and the problems which present on the reports of Henan Daily and Dahe Daily to migrant workers. Consequently, this study selects Henan Daily and Dahe Daily as the research object and selects 2006 as the research period, choose 465 reports from them and then analyze the content of the two newspapers'reports with the Content Analysis Method.The study of this paper displays that there are being a great deal to be affirmed about the reports of the two daily paper above. For example, the reports can provide all-around report to protect the rural migrant workers'rights and interests, can convey or read the governmental policies, laws and regulations to the rural migrant workers, and also can study the problems of rural migrant workers in-depth or reshape a positive image of the migrant workers to the society. However, there are also some disadvantages in the reports as following:rural migrant workers lose their rights of speak, their vulnerable position is exaggerated, the follow-up reports and attentions to them are not enough, and so on. With constructing harmonious society as the precondition, this paper finally also puts forward some advice to promote the reports on the rural migrant workers.
