This thesis selects "People' s Daily, Southern Metropolitan Daily, Farmer's Daily" as the research object. Through summarizing and analysising the statistical data of reports of migrant workers from September 15,2008 (bankruptcy of Lehman Brothers) to December 31, 2009, it' s easy to sum up the characteristics and style of the reports in the financial crisis. On this basis, We will give some suggestion to the party newspaper, metropolis newspaper, professional three rural newspaper on how to develop and improve their reports of migrant workers.The thesis is divided into five parts:The first part: introduction part. This part presents the research background at the conclusion of the important research of migrant workers in sociology, political science, economics, journalism, communication in areas and so on. And then, we try to find the current shortage of three newspapers' reports, the innovation of this paper, the methods and significance of this paper.The second part, making statistical analysis of the form and content of three newspapers, We try to compare the general character and individuality of three newspapers on the reports of migrant workers. Combined with the newspaper' s nature and orientation, We attempt to find the reasons of the similarity and individuality between three newspapers.The third part, starting from the five elements of news value, We analyze the news value of three newspapers' reports, and compare the similarity and individuality on value judgments of their news coverage on migrant workers.The forth part, in order to better illustrate the characteristics of reports of returning migrant workers, this part selects the theme of returning migrant workers' life reports as the case study on the basis of the second part and the third part' s study. The method is to extract three newspapers' first reports of this subject, compare the microscopic indicators on the basis of the second and third parts' macroeconomic analysis. The fifth part, according to the results of comparative analysis of the previous chapters, We try to point out the problems and put forward the improvement strategies of the party newspaper, metropolis newspaper, professional three rural newspaper's reports of migrant workers. And finally from the view of the research in Journalism and Communication, the paper look the reports of migrant workers in to the future.
