Design And Implementation Of North-Bound Interface Subsystem Of China Mobile 3G Network Management System

TD-SCDMA network of China Mobile 3G project has been developed very fast over the past few years. With the engagement of a growing number of system manufactures, the network management is getting more and more complicated. With the intention of improving standardization, as well to mitigate the differences between interfaces of each individual manufacture, China Mobile, based on 3GPP terms, has established its own OMC network management Northbound Interface Standards ("Standards") and also requires manufactures to participate admittance tests during facility bidding session. Manufactures that are not able to develop its "Standards", will not be qualified to the bidding under this condition.This thesis emerges under this environment and condition, with the purpose to develop "Standards" products based on the current OMC network system. It's has been mentioned in the "Standards", CORBA must be applied via the development of Northbound Interface and data reported to superior should use XML document storage, however the OMC development teams are generally not capable of both of the technologies, it's of great necessity to conduct learning, forecasting, and analysis of CORBA and XML. Therefore, this thesis spent quite a few chapters to introduce and study the relevant theories of the two technologies, confirmed CORBA platform product and XML third party development pack, with consideration of the current human resource, knowledge structure, finance etc. of the team. Meanwhile, it studies CORBA related testing tools, selected the appropriate OMC testing tool that fits the current situations and conducted the pilot of the tool.During the analysis phase, the thesis has developed full-scale analysis especially on some key business scenes, by considering that the team is not familiar with the "Standards". The designing requirements of the Northbound Interface have also been expatiated during the system designing phase. However, the thesis is not getting into detailed designing and implementation, as inadequate involvement with implementation details such as coding.
