Research And Implementation Of CoreFrame Based On Embedded CORBA

Recently, embedded and realtime application increases rapidly, but embedded application encounters more chanlleges than desktop applications when it works in distributed system. How to mask heterogenous platforms in such enviroment of limited resource is discussed.MinimumCORBA was released by OMG which aims at embedded applications and realtime CORBA which applies in realtime applications.Embedded requirement and realtime demanding often depend each other.DeltaCORBA discussed in this paper is an embedded and soft realtime CORBA.In embedded applications, CORBA is used in military and telecommunication at first.The Software Communication Architecture of Joint Tactical Radio System(JTRS) is a typical application based on CORBA. CoreFrame(CF) of SCA takes CORBA as it's basic communication platform.CF is designed after CORBA Component Model and it uses some design patterns to construct a extendable, manageable SDR basic framework which can be configured by XML. In fact, this framework consist of a set of interface definitions and domain profile.Operations which can be inherited or used by applications are defined by a set of interfaces including base application interfaces,framework controll interfaces and framework service interfaces. With aid of XML domain profile,those interfaces can implement functions of CF. Design ideas and implementation of CF are mainly discussed in this paper and the implementation of domainmanager is ananlysed in detail.Agile method is used when implementing CF. Many experiences of constructing software are included in Agile method. Extreme programming is one of the agile method and used primarily.Some problems of applying agile method in developing CF are discussed in this paper.The test of finished CF indicates that implementation of CF conform to SCA specification and DeltaCORBA take up fewer resources and exhibit better soft realtime performance.
