Design And Implementation Of Integrated Network Management System

For the Chinaunicom of Beijing's network maintenance and management, the BRAS-NMS can help us to manage BRAS witch is the core device of broadband access network. It is managing six types of BRAS, more than 400 BRASES and accordes with the special requirement of Chinaunicom.This dissertation is completed under the circumstance of the practical engineering project of BRAS-NMS, and its two main contributions can be summarized, one is the data getting subsystem, another is the data processing subsystem. The two subsystems'independence is the main design opinion of BRAS-NMS. The data getting subsystem is designed for the type of bras, the gateway server gets data from BRAS element, avoids the difference of different BRAS.The data getting subsystem is the most important of BRAS-NMS, we decide how to get data for each BRAS by in-depth studing,reading and analyzing. this subsystem is using configuration file to finish data getting and filtering. This subsystem is using Schedule function to manage all data getting sessions.The data getting subsystem is used to get data from more than 400 BRASES and finish data pretreatment; the data processing subsystem is used to finish data analysis which received from the data getting subsystem.BRAS-NMS has been put into use in 16 filiales of Beijing Chinaunicom. In the future, to combine with the practical requirements and to keep on with research and progress, the BRAS-NMS will be improved to run more effectively and more efficiently.
