The rapid development of modern network system and informationsecurity technology set a much more strict request on new generationnetwork equipments, and network equipments become to miniaturized andcustomized. According to the characteristics of network management, tomanage computer network, it is necessary to set and access managed networkobject.In long-term network running and practical management, a whole setnetwork management industry standard which can support the abovementioned content had come into being, they are SNMPv1,SNMPv2 andSNMPv3。The protocol had got wide approval of the industrial area, a lot ofSNMP-based network management system had been put forward. As aprotocol of network management, SNMP(Simple Network ManagementProtocol),is an industrial standard which is widely accepted and used. Itstarget is to make sure the transaction between the entity which supports theSNMP protocol and the managed facility, it is convenient for the networkmanagement system to pick up the massage at anytime, anywhere on internet,and the parameter for the network. SNMP is a protocol of the applicationlayer in the TCP/IP family, it takes the Client/Server mode:Manager/Agentmodel. It manages the network through the exchange of the Manager andAgent.The Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP) and theinformation characteristic in Management Information Base (MIB) arestudied. In this paper we introduces a framework of data collection system,and implementation of data collection system. It is very useable in theory andpractice.With the breakneck acceleration of current developing of networktechnology, the emphasis points have imposed on telecommunicationnetwork for a long time. The software developing and new conception basedon network technology of management for reticular equipments, which ischaracterized by general and synthetic traits, absorb everyone's eyeballs. Intelecom data network, the network management becomes more and moredifficult than before because of the increasing scale and complexity and theexpanding application business. The data collection system is attachedimportance to apply in the realm of telecom. The data collection systemmanagement objects involve a large quantity of devices which are notablydifferent with each other. The system functions include networkconfigurations, network performance, network faults, and even somerelational application business. Before exhibiting the research results ofnetwork management over SNMP and TGOP (Telecommunication GeneralOpen Platform) solution for network management with data collection andremote control based on SNMP, the article analyses status in quondam ofdata collection and compares models of collecting data in whole datacollection field. Design and Implement of data collection throughtransforming SNMP project highlight this article. Finally, affronting thenetwork security problems suggestion have been put forward to improving onour Data Collection model. In this paper, we specify the conceptions, characters and framework ofSNMP data collection system, and by analysis the in-depth SNMP datacollection ,we discuss how to enhance the SNMP security, and give thesolutions for enhancing SNMP security. This system help to scheme thenetwork, improve the network performance indeed, ensure that the networkservice is in high quality. As is shown in this practical application, thetechnologies of implementation are of great practical significance, and itprovides a good tool for administrator to maintain and administer the network.
