With the rapid development of social science and technology, the demands of all kinds of automatic conveying line are higher and higher. This paper introduces the control scheme based on PLC according to the operation characteristics and control requirements of the welding line. This control system mainly designs the hardware system and develops the software programming using Siemens S7-200 series of CPU226.This paper shows the studies on four aspects:1.The overall design of production line according to the system's control content and control target, including the choice of control mode, the determination of control scheme, the structure design of the transporter, the driving scheme design transporter and the design of the workstation console.2. The part completes hardware design of the control system, including controller type selection, I/O interface distribution and the safety design of the circuit.3. This part complies the system flow chart according to the logical relationship of the control system and completed of control program code using Siemens programming software STEP 7.4. The debugging work of the control program, including program laboratory test using touch screen and commissioning.This control system has been proved that it can work in the stable and reliable condition and has achieved the design goal through simulation and commissioning. It greatly improves the work efficiency and reliability compared with the previous manual mode. It also proved that the design of hardware and software can completely stably work in strong interference environment. This system has certain representativeness and has a certain significance for other similar design.
