ZigBeeincorporatesthenetwork,securityandapplicationlayersthatresideontopofIEEE802.15.4standard.Because of the features include: low energy consumption, low latency, and longbattery lives, ZigBee plays a significant role among low data rate WPANs. In 2006,the ZigBee industry market value can reach hundred of millions. It has a vast rangemarkets. Now, many foreign corporations provide the consumers with a lot ofsolutionsforusers'applications.ZigBee protocol stack is core software for user application developments.Analysis and design is of great significance to research and engineering. This thesisanalyzes the IEEE 802.15.4 protocol and ZigBee specification in detail. First, itintroduces the architecture of the software stack.
