Another turn of new curriculum reform was initiated at the beginning of the twentieth century, in which the concept of humanity-oriented is highly stressed. Therefore, how to carry out the idea of being students-oriented and how to reach the basic teaching aim and meanwhile develop students'individuality becomes a great challenge which every teacher cannot hide from. Confucius, a famous educator in China set a good example of both deal with the conflicts between the same requirement and different students, which is called"teaching students in accordance of their aptitude". As a matter of fact, such a strategy is significant and practical in contemporary education reform.More or less, history teachers will deliver their lessons based on the distinct personality of the students, which hardly means they perform the practice of being students-oriented. The real explanation of being students-oriented is that teachers not only form the habit of strategy of being students-oriented, but also they have the concept of it, which is internalized into their hearts and rooted in their mind. This essay first discussed the possibility and necessity of teaching students in accordance of their aptitude in history education. Then it analyses the difficulty in the performance of this concept, taking into consideration the class scales, the allocation of the teachers, the system of evaluation in our district. At last it brings forth the practical mode of carrying out education in secondary school in four aspects: the teaching target, the teaching materials, the teaching strategy and the teaching evaluation decided by the aptitude of the students. What's more, the essay bring forward a new approach of varied teaching in the class on the basis of teaching students in accordance of their aptitude, and flexibly applying the method of attempting learning, cooperating learning, inquiring learning and individual learning, trying to get students involved. By presenting the case of teaching students in accordance of their aptitude and some homework of students, the writer intend to rethink the practical effects and problems of varied teaching according to students'aptitude.
