It has been a full decade since Kun Opera be named as "the human oral and intangible cultural heritage" by UNESCO,Facing the choice of restoring its original features in history and the contemporary consumer market , how it survive and develop in this environment lead to the academic study of the Kun Opera. The seven Kun Opera Theatres in China staged performances all over the country , and strived to restore the classic original, at the same time, committed to the innovative choreography, which got outstanding achievements and access to a large number of young people ; scholars in major institutions carried out many researches on the history and art of Kun Opera, with their high-and-multi-level and multiple perspectives, which made us realize its longivity of history and culture and its excellence of artistic achievement.Everything has its soil of existence and development. Throughout Ming and Qing Dynasties, Kun Opera has its unique ecological environment in which to bear fruit. Suzhou and its adjacent areas, as the first surviving environment of Kun opera, with its distinctive local color, cast the specific quality characteristics of Kun Opera. The Suzhou area is a complexity of multi-cultural customs. All levels in the society have an obsession for Kun opera, which inevitably brand it the stigma of multiple characteristics.This thesis, from the point of performing places of Kun Opera in Ming and Qing dynasties, according to the criteria of their main function, divide them into personal drama places, sacrifice drama places and commercial drama places. To analyze the characteristics of their architectural form, and with detailed lists and classifications of various ancient stages in Suzhou, we witness the complexity of performing places of Suzhou Kun Opera from multiple perspectives and levels. The second chapter based on the theatrical space, from the aspacts of audience, actors, and show places, etc,peep the variety of performances of Kun Opera and the variety of drama activities in Suzhou; The third chapter tries to find the law of the opera art during the interaction of the theater and the audience,which promote the development of the Kun Opera, and to mine out the multi-cultural characteristics of Suzhou Kun Opera in the script, actors, audience,stages,background,and other aspects during Ming and Qing Dynasties.
