The Research About The Evolution Of The Sights And Environment In The North Of Shanxi,in Ming And Qing Dynasty

With the popularity of compiling local chronicles and the push from local scholars,most cities joined in the group of creating “Eight Sights” during Ming and Qing Dynasties,and it was no exception in Northern Shanxi so that Eight Sights were easy to be found in every city and county in this area.Followed by this,mountains of Eight Sights poets and paintings based on the topic of ecological landscapes sprung up which formed the Eight Sights Culture with rich meanings.During Ming and Qing Dynasties,the Eight Sights in Northern Shanxi had rich contents with both ecological and cultural landscapes that fully displayed the unique local characters.Eight Sights of Northern Shanxi were regarded as a model of excellent local ecological landscapes and were in tight connection with local ecological environment.The Eight Sights themselves and their records in materials not only reflected ecological environment of Northern Shanxi during Ming and Qing Dynasties but also showed changes of environment,which is of great value for studying the history of environment of Northern Shanxi during Ming and Qing Dynasties.Meanwhile,analyzing reasons why Eight Sights and natural environment in Northern during Shanxi Ming and Qing Dynasties had changed provides historical experience for contemporary development and use of natural resources.This thesis consists of two parts including introduction and contents.In introduction,the significance of this thesis will be explained from the perspective of academy and reality;the objectives and range of this thesis will be defined;literature review,innovation points and shortages will be well displayed.In the second part,namely contents,four charters are included: The first Chapter clarifies contents of Eight Sights in Northern Shanxi during Ming and Qing Dynasties and analyzes their characters;the second Chapter analyzes general appearance ofecological environment in Eight Sights and their changes from aspects of forests and grass,rivers and lakes;the third Chapter has a specific study on Wu Tai Mountain as a typical example of Eight Sights by analyzing conditions of forests and grass in Wu Tai Mountain during Ming and Qing Dynasties and its changes including reasons and characters;the fourth Chapter makes a specific explanation on reasons that caused environment changes in Northern Shanxi during Ming and Qing Dynasties.
