Self-understanding is a prerequisite for individuals career choice. Vocational self-concept is a part of self-concept. Students are in the critical period of self-exploration. Promoting students'understanding of themselves, particularly vocational self-concept, contributes to reduce the students'career decision-making difficulties. The purpose of this study was to develop the questionnaire of occupational self-concept, to explore the demographic factors to occupational self concept, and to study the relationship between occupational self-concept and career decision-making difficult.In order to explore the college students' vocational self-concept influence on career decision making difficulties, this study used the questionnaire of the college students' vocational self-concept,which was designed by myself,and revised questionnaire of career decision-making difficulties as a tool, then 408 college students of the Nanjing Forestry University, Nanjing Aeronautics and Astronautics University and the Nanjing Radio and Television University were chosen randomly to finish the scale.Thus,we will find out the status of the the college students' vocational self-concept and individual differences, and explore the influence of the college students' vocational self-concept on career decision-making difficult. This study indicates that:1.The college students' vocational self-concept was fromed by four dimensions, namely:physical self dimension, social self dimension, psychological self dimension and vocational self-concept crystallization dimension.2.The item characteristics of the college students' vocational self concept scale are acceptable, and the internal consistency reliability was 0.737, the split-half reliability was 0.633.The reliability are reasonable.3.The construct validity of the scale was fine, RMSEA was 0.046,; GFI was 0.96, AGFI was 0.94, NFI was 0.95, CFI was 0.98, NNFI was 0.97, IFI=0.98.4.The intensity of college students' vocational self-concept is at the medium level; the sub-dimension from high to low were physical self-concept dimensions, social self-concept dimensions, vocational self-concept crystallinity, psychological self-concept dimensions.5.There was a significant difference of students vocational self-concept on gender, major, grade, only-child, source of students, family rearing styles, family economic level, whether received career counseling and significant others.6.There is correlation between the college students' vocational self-concept and career decision-making difficulties; the social self dimensions and the psychological self dimensions of the college students' vocational self-concept can be a good projection to career decision-making difficulties.
